How does CEREC provide same-day dental crowns? We begin by numbing the tooth being treated, so you stay comfortable as we remove structure to make room for the restoration. Next, we will take multiple digital images of the prepared tooth with a small camera at the end of a thin wand. These images can be taken quickly and comfortably. These are then used to create a 3D computer impression, one more accurate than a traditional physical one, and more convenient for the patient.
We design the restoration and upload the information into the onsite CEREC milling machine, which crafts your completed one from a block of ceramic. This will be shaded to blend with your smile and look natural.
Same-Day Placement
In the same visit, we will check the fit and then make any necessary adjustments to the tooth. Finally, we will attach it with a powerful bonding agent. When you leave, you do so with the final restorations, no need for a temporary at all!
