Many people have put off visiting our office out of concern for their safety. After all, movie theaters, restaurants, and other in-door areas are often recommended by experts to be avoided. But what about the dentist? Well, since your Omaha, NE, dentist has always followed strict health and safety protocols to keep the area clean, and we have undertaken new measures since the start of the pandemic, attending your checkups and cleanings are still a safe bet!
What to Know Before You Visit
Prior to scheduling your visit, we will have you fill out a questionnaire on our website, which will ask a series of questions about common symptoms and whether you have visited an area with a high rate of infection for COVID-19. Based on the results, we can schedule an appointment soon, or we may ask that you wait. There may be fewer appointments time available, as we want to makes sure our waiting rooms are empty enough to ensure social distancing.
Our New Health and Safety Protocols
When you arrive, we ask you the same questions in our questionnaire, and then welcome you inside once we know the waiting room is empty. We will require you to wear a mask, and our team will be donning PPE as well, including masks, face shields, gloves, and gowns. At our front desk we will have clear panels, and plenty of hand sanitizer available for you and your family to use. We will also be implementing new cleaning and disinfecting policies to ensure you and our team are safe and avoid the spread of COVID-19 during visits.
Don’t Let Minor Issues Grow Severe
Remember, the reason we always urge a checkups and cleaning once every six months, is so our team can watch for the earliest warning signs of common issues, including tooth decay and gum disease. We can then create a personalized treatment plan to address these concerns and protect your smile from complications such as discomfort, or even tooth loss. Patients of all ages benefit from these visits, and we would love to see you and your family!
